Heroes

Today, Bonneville Elementary had some very special guests join us for lunch and recess—first responders from the Spanish Fork Fire and EMS, Utah County Sheriff’s Department, Orem Police, and Orem Fire!

Our Student Council invited these community heroes as part of our Anti-Bullying and Safety Month. Students shared the playground, played games, and laughed with the officers and firefighters, building connections that remind us all that safety and kindness go hand in hand.

This month began with a schoolwide assembly focused on creating a safe and welcoming environment for every student. Today’s visit highlighted the importance of community partnership in that effort, and next Friday, September 26th, we’ll “Cap it with Kindness” during a schoolwide spirit day where students can wear any hat they choose.

We are deeply grateful for the time, service, and support of our local first responders—not only for keeping our community safe earlier this week during a scare, but also for being here in person to share positive moments with our students. Bonneville is stronger because of the community that surrounds us.
